An unrepresentative Congress has given an unelected President unconstitutional authority to wage an unprovoked war.
"Individuals have international duties which transcend the national obligations
of obedience…Therefore [individual citizens] have the duty to violate domestic
laws to prevent crimes against peace and humanity from occurring"
-- Nuremberg War Crime Tribunal, 1950
First they came for the Communists
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.
Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Catholics
and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant.
Then they came for me,
but by that time, no one was left to speak up.

George W. Bush was not elected president in 2000. His election in 2004
is questionable due to significant voting regularities in Ohio and Florida.
We must continue to emphasize that the Bush-Cheney administration has no mandate
even if it can now possibly claim to be legitimate.
This site focuses on the fight against the Bush-Cheney agenda.

We decry the September 2001 terrorist attacks, but urge sanity. We must make clear that the US
should oppose any policy by any nation (including our own) which targets civilians.
We should not allow these attacks to be excuses for chipping away at our rights. We can
even quote George Bush in this regard:
"Today, our fellow citizens, our way of life, our very freedom came
under attack in a series of deliberate and deadly terrorist acts. "
The only way our freedom and way of life came under attack is by making it more
likely that the government will take steps to violate our freedoms and way of life.
If the government takes such steps, that means that we are allowing the terrorist
acts to succeed.
"Terrorist attacks can shake the foundations of
our biggest buildings, but they cannot touch the foundation of America."
The USAPATRIOT Act and executive orders which restrict our First and Fourth Amendment rights are
continued chipping away at the foundation (the Constitution and Bill of Rights)
of the USA.
Flood Congress, the executive branch, newspapers, and radio call-in shows
with calls for a peaceful resolution to the crisis! Demand justice and peace.
Killing civilians to demonstrate that killing civilians is wrong does not make sense.
